No friggin' way. I like ND, but it doesn't approach the emotional resonance of Sideways (not to mention that, even as a pure comedy, I found Sideways had more belly laughs).

Was Sideways THAT funny? I thought it deserved a chuckle here and there but it wasn't funny to a point where it had me rolling. ND was ok but I don't think I laughed throughout that movie at all.

I liked Sideways WAY more than ND....but I'm a big fan of Giamatti. IMHO, Sideways is absolutely hilarious, but it is not obvious gross out humour...it's subtle little stuff that Giamatti does that kills me.

I like both movies, but like Sideways more. Giamatti is the king of funny facial expressions - he deserves much more credit then he gets.

Napoleon was more funny than Sideways, but it was intended to be. The merlot scene and the spit bowl scene in Sideways were hilarious though...

Sideways is a bittersweet dramedy. Very emotional. ND is pure comedy. I loved both.
