So if you live there or have been there, what do you recommend that I absolutely experience whilst in town?

I used to live there. Just got back from visiting my parents.


Definitely go to Clam Pass Beach. It's my favorite beach in Naples. You have to take a tram to get to the beach. Once you get on the beach take a right (north) and keep walking until you reach the bay. It's really cool back there.

oh and make sure you check out Old Naples (Downtown Naples), specifically 5th Ave S. and Tin City. also be sure to take the Naples Trolley too.

I just moved from there about 8 months ago. How old are you? If you're under 60 years old don't bother going to Tin City, it's a waste of time. Your best bet is hitting 5th avenue as Shawn recommended and the beach of course; the pier is very nice and it's free to fish off of if you're into that sort of thing.

they used to have the country's smallest working post office (it was a 1 room shack).

Hate to break it to ya, but Naples isn't that great. More of an older crowd lives there.
