what I read looks like Carmella retired last month, maybe it was this, maybe it wasn't. crazy it's been this long since porn had an AIDS out break. It just goes to show how safe they make sure it is, for the most part any ways.

TTIWWP = This Thread Is Worthless Without Pictures...and I doubt posting said pics of pornstars would be well-thought of at work...

I'm actually surprised there isn't more AIDS in the porn industry than we hear about. (maybe there is, it's just not publicized.)
It's still uncommon to see condoms used, and AFAIK, there are still male pornstars who "cross-over" and do gay porn as well...

Possibly, I don't watch much porn and don't follow it. I have seen a few Carmella scenes. She's quite interesting, regardless of doing porn or not it's shitting when an actor gets HIV. They mostly don't use condoms, but take tons of safety precautions. Maybe this outbreak will change how they think though. 16 cases at once is pretty damn scary.

Last outbreak I believe was when Lara Roxx (Canadian pornstar) got infected by Marc...someone around 1998. He apparently got infected by a Brazilian pornstar.

Not Googling it for confirmation at work, of course.

I stand corrected - interesting article.

And the male pornstar they quoted at the end of the article is quite correct - there is too much market demand for bareback porn. Studios would lose a lot of money if condoms were required for all scenes, even though it would obviously limit the spread of HIV and other diseases (look at the thousands of chlamydia cases they cited, for instance).
