first post:

I was involved in a research project for the air force determining the optimum mixture of nanoparticles and fluid to increase the heat transfer capabilities of the working fluid. During the project we decided to try it in a WC system. I currently have it in my off-the-shelf system at my house - been running since June. We have some people on other forums testing it in their homemade WC systems. We have sent some to Kris on here, and to Vic on Toms - we are awaiting their results. What we are trying to accomplish is for standard WC system that entirely fits in CD drive-bays replacing the water with the nanofluid to get some more performance. We are still looking for someone with that kind of set-up to run some tests, but they would have to have a test-rig capable of temperature monitoring of the fluid before and after the block along with flow measurement. Also, I was wondering how everyone would feel if I posted links to the other forums where some of the results have been posted. I don't want to step on any toes.

I also have a stripped down paper (We presented a paper at the AMSE Heat Transfer Conference last summer) that I can send if you are interested in the test and results. It just doesn't give out any pertinent info. Just send me a PM if you are interested.

thanks

We can DISCUSS nanofluids, but since you are a vendor this thread is locked. If you want to discuss relevant data, that is fine. Otherwise, this post just reeks of a sales ad. We do not allow advertizing in the forums unless you are a paid sponsor. Also, We do not work by PM as it just seems as though you are trying to hide.
