nano killer yet?

i luv the 4gb ipod nano, for the physical size and the giga size.

wondering if anything has come along that compares yet

physical size
giga size
price
fm tuner?
wifi?
bluetooth?

the ability to transfer files wirelessly + ability to use wireless headphones are the only things that i think that the nano is lacking

wifi and bluetooth aren't so useful. wifi would sap your batteries leading to use of a cord for power. so thats pretty pointless. bluetooth headphones cost a lot, all to solve a problem that really doesn't need solving. its not like you can leave your ipod in one room and go out running. for total usability minus fm tuner theres no match at the moment. itunes+accessories+ipod integration is hard to beat. fm tuner? you can buy a fm sony walkman from the store for .9.99 if u must have it.

The new Sansa's from Sandisk have more features than the Nano, but no iTunes and accessories(yet!). Plus its SD, and CF expandable.

i hate wires so i disagree with you. bluetooth would be better than wifi, cuz i only have to transfer files every so often. i have to mess with headphone wires the whole time im using it. i hate it

I played around with the new Sandisk for awhile and was a bit disappointed; definitely not a Nano killer.

Samsung has some new ones that look promising but I don't personally have any experience with them.

well you might want to wait for the iphone. It's like a nano + cellphone so it might support some of the features you were asking about.

edit: and you can use it as a phone 🙂

there have been reviews showing the sansas as having very low sound quality compared to creative/apple.
perhaps you are using bad headphones? sennheiser has new ones that hold onto two parts of your ear http://www.nextag.com/sennheiser-mx-75/search-html sony ex81 also have an ear clip.

hi, i have no problem with sound quality per se (although ive had two apple nano headphones defectively develop static), i said i hate the wires!
