names of good photo editing software other than photoshop?

curious as to if there are any other good programs for digital picture editing. Especially since photoshop is so hard to use. Please share your thoughts.

have you tried Adobe Photoshop Elements or Adobe PhotoDeluxe.

I think Adobe stopped PhotoDeluxe, but it is a solid program.

Photoshop Elements is an excellent alternate to Photoshop for people who just need to touch up photos and do some basic graphics works. Also, take a look at Paint Shop Pro.

I think that all of them are pretty confusing. Especially if you want to do anything cool. You should just get a book or something and read it and become a pro at photoshop.
