namecheap email forwarding not working

has this happened to anyone else?

I talked to support and first they tried to blame it on gmails filters, then they said to switch to dns v1. I tried all that and then tried the same on a cox.net email address, same result.

I talked to support again and they said i had to request a ticket, and also said they dont provide any kind of phone support, which i was very pissed off about.

Ive heard namecheap is very good, but compared to godaddy, so far godaddy has better customer service, and their forwarding actually works. Ive heard sonme horror stories about them charging people crazy amount of money and basically holding their domain for ransom.

should i give someone else a shot?
