namecheap.com has free whois

not and incredibly hot deal but not bad, if combined with a coupon code lurking about. I just transfered two domains from godaddy and with the coupon code and free who is, total for one year was $15.

I just noticed that Godaddy is offering the whois privacy option for an extra $1.95 sale price. This makes my .us renewal only a buck more than the Namecheap deal, and I don't have to transfer.

Only problem is that namecheap > godaddy.

Yeah, I also used namescheap for one of my domains... If you go for this deal, make sure that you activate it, I found out that it is not done automatically.

What's better about namecheap?

They have superior customer support and their control panel is infinately better than GoDaddy's. And don't forget that they're 7 cents cheaper 😛 and have free WhoisGuard.
