namecheap.com and dynamic ip's

ok, this doesn't really belong in OT, but it doesn't really belong in Networking either, so I'll put it here first.

I just registered a couple of domains with namecheap, and I'm wondering how to go about linking my home computer's IP to these news domains. I have a dyndns acct that I have been using until now, and I use direct update to automatically update my IP whenever it changes, and then I host my site using apache.
I'm assuming I need to do something similar with namecheap.com, but I see no option on their page, and direct update doesn't seem to support them anyway. Do I have to register as my own nameserver for this to work?
Thanks.

You can't. Namecheap and other domain registrars actually register your namehost and IP in a database, as opposed to simple redirection. It takes up to 48 hours to enact a change which would not work for a dynamic IP.

so my best bet is just to redirect all traffic through my dyndns acct?

Also, my IP only changes if I log off of my DSL, thus, can I tell namecheap to use whatever IP i have right now, and then just leave it until i disconnect?
