I was just thinking about the good ol' days and was thinking about all the good websites that have died over the years. I can't remember some of the names anymore, but I do remember some like http://www.tweakit.com (died around 1999), http://hardware.pairnet.com (died late 1999) and http://www.agn3d.com (died around 2000).

What websites do you remember that aren't around anymore? About what year did it die?

EDIT: I'd also like to add http://www.dimension3d.com to the list.

I personally knew the guys that ran AGN. They were sad to see it go but they felt that school and cars became a bigger priority than computers.

What ever happened to Jeremy Alford (spelling?)? The guy had a brain tumor or something, did he make it?

I used to also love Tweakit.com, I was member of their forums and I was on their Dnet team until tweakit pretty much died. Dan keeps updating tweakit every once in a while giving me the hope that he might continue but it never happens. I hope he is doing well.

I was going to say bash.org's IRC quote database, as it went down last month, but I just checked it and it's back up... :D

Sharkyextreme.com. Ok, so it's not REALLY dead, but it totally went to $hit when internet.com took over and fired Alex "Sharky" Ross.

I saw him over on the FS/FT board a couple months back. Still going strong it looks!

Reading this thread brought me back to the days when I used to write for TweakMax.com.
I just cruised over there to find that it is no longer a viable entity.

Now i wished I had saved the water cooling article I wrote for them.
