All right, here comes a major prayer for ATOTers to answer. My friend is looking for a book that she read as a youth. I'm hoping one of you guys can remember what it is and tell me the title, author, or some other key facts that could help me locate it. Here's what she remembers:

girl lives on island, helps tend her father's bar. pirate dude comes, picks fight, burns down bar. feels bad, takes girl on ship, girl get kidnapped by bad guy, makes friend with guy in jail, guy in jail turns out to be pirates brother, they save him, and then, i think in new orleans, they help fight in some revolutionary war battle

I've done my fair share of reading, but this one is as foreign to me as common sense is to Jacko. Help me!

EDIT:
I've got a few more details:

There was a minor character named Olivia
It's a young adult book
at the part where the pirate burns down the bar, the girl catches fire
olivia is his sister, she's a pirate too, but they pretend they're lovers so the bad guy won't realize she's his sister
the pirate forces the girl to marry him so that she won't be screwed if he dies

FINAL EDIT:
So she finally came up with it all on her own. Thanks to everyone who helped out.

Into the Wind
Weather the Storm
Song of the Sea

All written by Jean Ferris

Any more character names?

Surely, the name of the main character would be a clue?

That had so much potential, but she shot it down. She said that Olivia isn't the main character.

Yeah, you'd think so. Unfortunately her brain isn't giving up that info.

i am surprised that book was incorrect. it fit the descrition to the T.. from the character Olivia, the pirates, the locations, and the war... as well as falling in love with the bad guys. Now i am really curious... get more details, please.
