Its all just music. I hate genres.

Though some of it is major stinkin putrescence that should never be brought up in a discussion about music.

well different people call things different names, but here's how i would label them:

pop punk
nu metal
pop punk
nu metal
wannabe emo (pop punk)
pop punk
bland-rock
emo turned pop punk (so sad, just when they were at the top of their game)
pop
bland-rock

No, they're all pop. Anything on TRL is pop. Either that or mainstream, your choice. :D

i don't see why everyone disses on popular music nowadays, as if thats the "in-thing-so-i-can-sound-hardcore" attitude. i will listen to whatever i find enjoyable, whether it be popular or "underground", and anyone who's going to call me a whiny little brat for liking some popular music can go fsck themselves.

I'm with you buddy. I like about everyone on that list except for Limp, Lifehouse and No Doubt. The rest of those guys RULE. Here is my breakdown:

I can't say much about the American Rejects, but that Swing Swing song isn't bad. JEW may have gone mainstream, but is wasn't a bad move. End of discussion on LP. GC is good stuff, as is most of Blink, even though they are becoming a bit light for my tastes. Puddle of Mudd simply rocks. Their album was good, but Blurry didn't belong on it. Blurry is by far their best song and is WAY better than anything else on the album. The rest of the album, while good, is overshadowed by the greatness of the song Blurry. Sum41's second album is excellent. Don't know much about their first album though...
