In case it's from a Final Fantasy OST (assuming you didn't rename it), it's by the Black Mages and/or Nobuo Uematsu.
I could be wrong. Google it. I couldn't download it...

its clint mansell, the former frontman of pop will eat itself, and from the soundtrack to requiem for a dream, pi, or donnie darko. i am not sure which one this track is from but they are all excellent.

Sounds like...

Clint Mansell and the Kronos Quartet's 'Summer Overture' from the "Requiem for a Dream" soundtrack.

IIRC., a shortened (and much faster paced) version of that piece was used for one of the "Two Towers" trailers.
