I remember when I was home sick from grammar school one day I watched a Vincent Price movie on Dialing for Dollars. This would have been in the 1970's, so the movie was probably from the 1950's or 1960's.
The only scene I recall is that there were many people who had set up tents, the tall ones you see in old British Military or Civil War movies. One of the men was in a tent alone when, in the middle of the night, he wakes up to find he is tied down to his cot and a large vice-like device has been placed around him (at his head and feet).
The Vincent Price character then slowly tightens the vice, killing the screaming man.
The next morning he is found dead and one of the other characters comments that the loud winds during the night must have covered his screams.
Any ideas?
