Name that house pest...

pretty much factored out the possibility of it being a mouse/rat.

it's living in our wall, between my kitchen and bathroom.. it's scratching the wall and the bathtub.

pretty much nocturnal, but it sometimes does move around in the daytime.

it makes this purring noise, but when it does make squilling noises, it doesnt sound like a cat.

any ideas?

we had the pest control that handles mice/rats come by and set traps but that's been a few weeks ago and nothing was ever caught.

Does it seem to be stuck, or does the sound seem to move around enough to inicate non-stuckness? We've had a couple of mice get trapped & die in the wall, stenchville followed by mini-construction job 😛

I know raccoons make sort of a trilling sound, nothing else comes to mind, hmm...

Sounds exactly like the Mexican Farrow snake. You should get somebody in there immediately, as they are responsible for about 300 fatal bites a year in the lower western states of the US.

it seems to be stuck in that wall. hmm. we're gonna have another pest control company come out and check it out. i failed to mention, but we did notice fleas recently (i have no pets in the apartment) which could be a result of this pest. that'll be taken care of tomorrow.

are there any kinds of mice that make a purring sound?

mexican farrow snake? hmm. gonna have to do alittle research on that..

thanks
