Description:
It was basically a gladiator type game in which you could challenge other players or monsters in a pit area. The winner got to loot the dead player or monster. It had range weapons and melee weapons. Game was well before telnet bbs's.

Feeling nostalgic... :)

I currently run a L.O.R.D. BBS.

I know and google is not being helpful tonight.

There was another game in which you adventured out into a world after an atomic war or something and you had to kill enemies by hitting the space bar at a certain time when the asterisk like thing kept going back and forth. It's older than dirt though and text based I believe.

We used to run L.O.R.D., Usurper, Trade Wars, Food Fight. Wow those were the days.

Bad news about the game is it is only a demo. There do not seem to be any cracks available and the author stopped replying to people years ago. You can only get up to level 8. I too enjoyed the game back in the day. How sad.

LOL I can't believe how much time i use to spend on those games when i was little... since those games had limited turns per day you could do, i use to visit a dozen BBS regularly just to play them! My favorites would be Tradewar and Global War.

You know, i wonder why modern boards don't have these type of games anymore... one of the attractions of a lot of the boards back then were these type of games.

I remember actually buying that game. I actually called up the author for purchasing. I remember it cost me something like 25 US bucks. I loved the EGA/VGA mode. Too bad my own BBS never panned out. Too many folks needed the computer and we only had one phone line :(

Last BBS I remember being a member of was called "Sierra BBS" in Quebec.

A friend and I were really addicted to a whole bunch of the games there.

Tradewars was my favorite.. one of the very few pieces of shareware I ever bought... Ran a BBS for years (started on a 386sx16) but then the internet happened and I never looked back. :)
