I bought this broken monitor about 2 years ago from an online auction site. Can't find the reciept anywhere (figures that I have reciepts for every other piece of my computer).

I was thinking maybe I could call the place I got it from if they're stiull in business, but I can't remember their name.

It was a site that had a lot of new computer stuff and auctioned the items off over a day or two. It wasn't private people posting like Ebay, all the stuff was shipped out by the site.

 
Nope that wasn't it. It didn't sound right, but the format is very similar. I called them anyway and I've never ordered from them.

Sounds like Onsale.com.
(I got a lot of busted stuff from them too.)

They sold out to Egghead.com
and now Egghead is kind of part of Amazon.com.

Think they'll have your sales record?

 
I used to shop on Onsale all the time. Got lots of cheap DIMM RAM sticks from there, none of it busted though. I guess I was lucky. 🙂
