I got rid of an original Star Wars comic from 1977 soon after I bought it. Wish I would have kept it.

On a related note:

I wish my dad would have kept his '66 Mustang Fastback (V8, 4 sp. black) bought new! Sold before the end of the '60s.

A story from my Dad:

When my Dad was in college in the late 50's, he would buy comic books from a series titled "Classics Illustrated" and read them instead of the actual books for his class assignments (kind of like Cliff Notes before there were Cliff Notes). When he was done with them he threw them away.

Today in good condition they are worth thousands of dollars apiece.

She said those were the first thing to sell during her fundraiser.
