depeche mode

they try never to use the same producer twice so each album sounds quite different [they also try inplementing many styles into their music without drifting away from the signiture depeche sound]

Mad at the World (Christian band started in 1987).
self-titled: electronic/dance
second: goth
third: metal
fourth: hippie
fifth: rock

Or something like that. there was nothing subtle about their changes. Same main two members, though (Roger and Randy Rose, brothers).
