NAme of that classical played during Xmen 2?

what about that piece that is played in Xmen 2? U know when Prof. Xavier first shows Wolverine the globe thing in action (cerebro?) and all the sparkling lights representing humans on earth...

there was this familiar sounding composition playing in the background.. what was that?!?

[original topic]

Canon in D is beautiful, simply beautiful...

just starting to get into classical...

any more recommmendations?

"Canon"

BTW, Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries sounds nothing like Canon in D. You might want to try Bach's Ave Maria.

Are you any good with notes and stuff? Can you whip up a few bars?

You also might want to try:

Bach - Air in G
Britten - Sentimental Sarabande
Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata
Beethoven - Violin Concerto in D - "Allegro ma non troppo" and "Larghetto and Rondo"
Holst - Jupiter
Mozart - Symphonies 25/40 in G Minor
Schubert - Symphony No. 4 in C minor, First Movement ('Tragic', IIRC)

also check out:

Respighi - I Pini Di Roma - 1st movement - I Pini di Villa Borghese and 3rd movement - I Pini Di Gianicolo
Holst - Neptune is pretty cool too
Haydn Wood - Mannin Veen
Dvorak - Symphony No. 9 "New World" - 2nd movement - Largo
Yuki (sometimes spelled Yuhki) Kuramoto - Lake Louise I and II

Since its a Baroque piece, try Bach, Vivaldi, Handel,Telemann, etc

Bach's Brandenburg Concerti are always fun.
Handel -Arrival of the Queen of Sheeba
Telemann - Concerto for Viola

Dies Irae from Mozart's Requiem
I crapped myself (in my mind) when I heard it while Nightcrawler was owning.

Edit: Oh crap I didn't read the entire post and I posted the wrong song.
I forgot the scene you're talking about. Sorry. 🙁

Edit #2: Try here
Personally I can't recognize Track #5 but maybe someone else can.
