Name changes - how to find out who used to be who?

Seems that lately here at Anandtech, many folks have changed their screen names. Wussies. SOME OF US are not embarassed or afraid of who we are/were/what we said while blitzed/etc.

How do I find out who used to be who? Some people I know...most I don't. Explain.

Seriously on all them? I know about Anubis...you can't be serious about RobCur.

I'm not really wondering about anyone in particular; it's not like I'm trying to research one particular person. Besides, I have the guts to address folks directly should they incur my wrath.

Just lately I've seen "new names" to go along with their Joined date of 2001/2002, etc....i.e. folks that've been here awhile. I'm curious. (Not Yellow...just curious.)

Anyway, there should be a database or page listing anyone who has changed their screen name and who they used to be.

We all say things we shouldn't; it's part of being human. But it's also what defines your personality on this board. I.E. I know who the Berkeley Lesbian Loving Tree Hugging Birkenstock Wearing Approval of Gay Adoption Toyota Prius Driving Weenies are. Vis a vis, they know who I am.

There are valid reasons for changing your name. For example. DanWithTheMasterPlan signed up while on a 96-hour drinking bender. He had his name changed to DWTMP. That makes sense.

People who know a Mod and are just looking to hide from their past should not be granted "immunity" IMO.

I used to be Deslocke, but I don't think anyone cared that I changed. Oh, I was also 33 for approximately 30 minutes before I switched to "thirtythree."

I don't see why it matters, I'm sure noone gives a crap if anyone on this forum dislikes them. Some people just like to change their name from time to time for something different.
