You know how some songs/albums automatically make you recall certain images...


Therion's Secrets of the Runes album (in particular asgard, Midgard and ginnugagap) as well as some of their songs (Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah, to mega therion) instantly make me think back to the last few months of high school. I immediately get an image of me in black pants and white shirt (uniform) hanging out in the caf with my friends...

Theatre of Tragedy's Velvet Darkness they Fear reminds me of this past summer....instantly an image of my sitting in my hot room....i can feel the sweat..lol...

A few papa roach songs remind me of gr11 and working at dominion, when I used to listen to the radio a lot...
 
I had a religious experience to Pink Floyd while under the influence of various substances. (Don't ask...) The last four tracks of DSOTM mesmerize me. 🙂

Ah yes...how could I forget DSOTM...

it brings back feelings of relaxation...I usually listen to it in a semi-consious/semi-asleep state 🙂
 
blink 182 - dammit

reminds me of middle school and a couple years after that when i was emotionally chaotic due to raging hormones.

Ashanti - Happy. I forgot my CDs when I went on my first road trip, and this was all I had. After a while, I started really liking the song and I think of that trip everytime I hear the song 🙂

Mariah Carey - The Roof Video - I remember seeing it for the first time at the Teen Club that we had on Howard AFB in Panama, I thik of that moment everytime.
 
Green Day - Basket Case = The first time I saw a music video (that I can remember), and it was at a Chinese summer camp where I had one of my first crushes. 😀 (awwww...)

Incubus - Morning View = Ex-g/f...we both love them, and listened to the album when it first came out..saw them live twice...lots of emotions/memories attached to that album. It makes her think of driving to Ann Arbor, since she would listen to it a lot when driving up when she was still in HS and I was at UM.

Esp. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. Just reminds me of 1987. I was doing a co-op and learning about PCs and programming, got married, my first daughter was born....mmmm...life was good 🙂

Alphaville's Forever Young reminds me of last spring in the time between high school ending and graduation. My school didn't declare an official graduation song for us, so I declared Forever Young my official song. 🙂

Skid Row - Youth Gone Wild: I remember this song playing on the last day of school back in 1990. It felt so good know I was gonna off for the summer. Those 3 months were filled with lots of opportunities for fun.

Creed - My Own Prison: This album was popular back in 1998 when I met my present gf. Always makes me think of her.

Anything by Dan Fogelberg: Makes me think of my father. I miss him.🙁

 
Nirvana - Unplugged In New York: I was listening to that album when I was in 6th grade at Wolf Ridge. I listened to it on the bus and I was thinking how cool it was and how my friend and I were great friends.

AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long: Prom! 😀

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here: Reminds me of my friends at home.

Reminds me of my first crush, back when I was like 9. She was 16. I was an ambitious little pimp 😉


Led Zeppelin - Kashmire

Reminds me of my first summer driving. I always cranked this song up as high as I could driving through town 🙂
