I am going on a diet.. most of the foods which are good for the body, do not taste good.
I need some suggestions on what you think is good for the body and tastes great at the same time..

Thanks

Baked, not fried foods, rice, fruits, veggies, things like that. Are you going to exercise as well?

Yes.. I am working out for about an hour / hour and half daily.
My current schedule is working out for 6 days with a days break in between to let my body relax a bit.

green beans, string beans, brown rice, grilled chicken/fish, yogurt.

As Azraele said, you're going to need to exercise as well, otherwise your diet will be a waste.

EDIT: lamb if you can afford it; if you're going to cook stuff yourself, then use olive oil instead of vegetable oil.

Fixed.

This is the time of year that I love the most: fresh fruit - cherries, blueberries, strawberries, watermellon, . . .
fresh vegetables (raw) - broccoli, beans, peas, carrots

Fresh home-made bread

lean cuts of meat, especially boneless chicken breast marinated and grilled

seafood - shrimp, etc.

edit: today's lunch was a glass of 2% milk, 1 chicken breast (boneless, skinless, grilled) that had been marinating for days... lots of flavor. And, about 20 bing cherries.

When choosing amongst fruits and veggies, go for the most intensely colored ones. They are usually better for you. So, instead of potatoes, try sweet potatoes/yams. Instead of white grapes, try red. Berries of all types are delicious and good for you. When deciding what type of lettuce to buy, choose anything but iceburg if you want flavor and higher nutrient content. Choose vinagrettes instead of creamy dressings. Use olive or canola oil instead of corn oil. Avoid breaded anything. Drink lots of water. Try to eat whole grain breads and pastas. That way you are getting more nutrients and fiber along with your carbs. Always eat some protein when consuming carbs, don't just eat carbs by themselves.

turkey sandwiches
any type of pasta
stir fry
fruit salads

if you're working out an hour and a half a day, you're gonna need carbs. That's what your body prefers to use as fuel for physical activity. If you want to lose weight, all you have to do is burn more calories than you consume, but you'll still need to intake carbs for the energy.

it's probably an acquired taste but I absolutely love soy products. they're fairly tasteless by themselves though so they require good cooking.

Very nicely said. Same for you, SWScorch, but Bryophyte has better info :D.

As for vegetarian options... just eat lots of fruits and colored vegetables (peppers, salads, etc).

Depends on your definition of healthy. You cant simply eat lettuce anf fruit all day and expect to be healthy :p

But i found these things to be healthy:

Beef jerky
Steak (cut off fat it tastes crap anyway)
most fruits
sandwich + vegetables + chicken
chicken roll (comes in lil packets)
fruit juices (hella tasty and mostly sugar, which is allright)

Stay away from carbs like bread, pasta etc, theyre not BAD for you but dont eat too much of them.

actually lamb is high in fat... but it sure is tasty. a good alternative is goat if you can find it, but you have to simmer the piss out of it to make it tender (or marinate overnight helps).
