"The 34 nails were found during a post-mortem examination of Liu's body, and were located mainly in his skull. They were fired from an 85 mm nail gun at close range, Beresford said. Police have not recovered the weapon.

"We certainly believe the nail gun is responsible for the death ? there's no doubt about that," he said."

Really? Couldn't just be a coincidence?

That looks a little suspicious. If there were less than 30 nail in him, it might have been accidental :).

I think you hit the nail on the head with that one!

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the case there have been multiple snags...

Too bad... sounds like the victim was just stuck in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

Maybe it was an accident. Maybe it wasn't... It looks like they still haven't hammered out all of the details on this one...

My nailgun story:

I lady I worked with was married to a man that owned a construction company. One day, one of his workers was building an addition on to a very elderly lady's home, and was kneeling down inside the house using a nail gun to attach studs to the floor.

The lady had a chihuahua that was very annoyed at the sound the airgun would make when it went off, so he would lunge at the worker's gloved hand everytime he fired it. The worker kept nudging the dog away so it would get hurt, but the little mutt kept attacking.

Finally, without thinking, the worker nudged the dog away with the rubber tip of the nail gun---which triggered it's firing mechanism and shot the dog right in the head. It dropped like a rag doll.

This worker said he paniced, picked the dog up, and threw it in the bushes in front of her house. The lady came by later and asked "Have you seen my dog?" and he told her it ran out the door earlier.

This is one of those true stories that I only tell if the crowd is into morbid humor.

I hope the 85mm part refered to the length of the nail. If it is the width, it would be like shooting railroad ties into his head.
