Nacho Cheese

I'm on the hunt for some good nacho cheese sauce. They usually come in big ass cans that I could never possibly finish before the expiration date. I don't really want that much, but if it's cheap, whatever. I don't want veggie bits or jalapeño's or anything weird in it, just plain nacho cheesy goodness. The kinda nacho cheese you'd find at a big sports event. The thicker the better!...well, not too thick, just not super liquidy.

I'm a sucker for soft pretzels+nacho cheese. Isn't everyone?

Thanks.

It doesn't matter. If you steal someone's cheese, from their cart, in the parking lot, of a store, and run, they are going to yell, "that's nacho cheese!!" That's not yo cheese. 😉

yeah, i've asked this before. it seems like you can only find like cheddar cheese stuff, like cheesewiz or salsa con queso, which is cheddar cheese with salsa in it.

i;d like to find some spiced cheddar cheese with no salsa in it. not too spicy though.

Walmart sells the big cans of concentrated cheese sauce your looking for. You mix it with some water and add the jalapeños or what ever to it. Tastes just like the stuff you get with your nachos at the vender's. Costs like $8 for the big can and when mixed with the wated makes a sh!t load of the stuff you can then but in containers and freeze and save for later. I buy it this way because the $2.50 for the small little jars for a family of 4 that likes to dip the chips and stuff in got really expensive.

OH and Pont this has no hot spices in it really or salsa. You need to add it in if you want it. If you like the stuff you get at football games, theater, etc then this is the stuff your looking for.

If that doesnt work another good alternative is velvita and salsa mixed together and warmed up till creamy. This is pretty good as well but can be very costly. I do this when I want to do something special.

Guys you know you can freeze the stuff! Mix it all then put it in zip loc bags or containers and freeze it. When you want some take out a container and thaw it out.

you must have a deep freeze if you're freezing $0.50 in nacho cheese.

it's almost as bad as my mother freezing the 3 hotdog buns left in the bag. if you've got to crowd out expensive stuff that you got on sale to put in cheap stuff that you didn't get on sale, you're doing the wrong thing.

Um no, big 5lb can costs $8, when made it makes about 20 of the $2.50+ jars, $2.50 stuff is the walmart knock off brand. What becomes expensive at that point? And yes I have a deep freezer. I have a family of 4 and were on a strict budget. Everything bought is on sale or in bulk. When your on a set income and have mouths to feed, every penny you can save counts 😉

I buy everything that has the yellow sale stickers on the meat or is in the clearance section. Fridge is filled with clearanced hamburger and other meats. Cabinets are filled with dented can goods,a nd off brand everything. We shop mainly at save a lot, a Aldis knock off store. We go to walmart for meat and other goods that just cannot be had at the other store, such as the cheese.

Oh then your buying the wrong stuff. The stuff I mentioned is concentrated and requires you to add water for its to thick and too much flavor. Also only costs $8 and makes a hell of a lot more then.

the whole premise of adding water to cheese is nasty. ugh. no.

i dont want MORE cheese, i want LESS cheese. i'd accept a hit in price/quantity if i could get LESS quantity.

btw, the 5lb can of que bueno is 8 bucks as well. and it's alot better than any other nacho cheese i've ever had.

Well then you better read your can because I can tell you the first or second ingredient in it is water 😛
Your just paying more for non concentrated stuff is all. I bet you buy radiator fluid too thats pre-mixed so you can think your saving $1.
