N64 Games at Blockbuster Video

Knocks

Hey people I have a question for those of you who buy used N64 games from
Blockbuster.

My local Blockbuster store has developed a nasty habit of attaching the "N64
Shield" on their pre-played N64 games. The "shield" is basically a large
sticker stuffed with tattle-tape, as to prevent theft. Well, I often buy
used games from Blockbuster and I've been having a hard time getting that
damn sticker off the cartridge. I bought NBA Live 2000 last week and ruined
both the front and the back of the cartridge when I tried to take the shield
off 🙁 Kinda defeats the whole joy of a purchase.

Can anyone recommend an effective, fool-proof method of removing the idiotic
n64 shield without damaging the game. Obviously you can't steam the
cartridge like you would do to get a stamp of an envelope 😛 Any engineers?
thanks

Uber, because it is more esthetically pleasing not to have your games wrapped in an ugly blue sticker that has shoplifting warnings on it. Maybe I'm just a freak like that.

i used to be an assman at blockbuster...those stickers are a pain to remove cleanly. Unless they were just put on. but you usually get the 'void' label when you peel it off...best bet is to scrape it off...but IMO, just leave the thing on or color it or put your own label over it 😉
