hey guys, i recently bought a new wireless n router(thinking it would repair my problem), it is a tp link WR841N router, previous to that i had a wireless b/g Belkin router. both routers are dropping signals, about every 15 mins or so, i also have purchased a wireless n usb adapter for my desktop (netgear) i dont know if its the wireless adapter or the router giving me problems, but i cant stnd my connection being dropped so frequently, im a noob when it comes to networking so if anyone has any ideas on how i might fix this problem please help, its really is frustrating. the security is wpa-personal and the encription type is AES, that's as much as i know.

any help would greatly be appreciated and thanks in advance,

oh and my isp is Comcast and the modem and router are across the house , approx 15 yards away, and since i live with a roommate and its his house and his internet he pays for (i just rent the room) i cant get a straight connection via Ethernet cable, he will not allow me to transport the modem and router to my room, personally hes a bit of a dick, but that's for another story.

15 yards away in a close wall environment cab be a problem.

If you are allowed to place a Router out of your room in the hallway, it is possible that configuring one of your Wireless Router as a Wireless Bridge and placing it near your room feeding it with a cable into your room will provide a solution.

------------
P.S. Given that today an Internet connection is just as important as having a Bathroom in an house. I would not rent anything that does not provide a real solution to have Internet.

i get 4/5 bars for signal strength, i have the old belkin router just sitting around doing nothing, what would i i have to do to use it as an access point? turn it on and plug an Ethernet cable in my pc? like i said im a noob when it comes to this, also would i still need the usb wireless n adapter? i want the wireless n speeds, that's why i went ahead and bought the wireless n router to begin with...
