N00b usb printer question =D

I understand that many Canon printers, specifically the MP750, use usb cables to connect. Do they use male-male usb or some proprietary crap that they outrageously overprice? Paying $20 for usb cable will deter me from purchasing this printer for $100 =).
 
The cables are standard.

If you buy a Monster Cable the oxygenated bicopper strandification will let you print faster with sharper text.
