so my people, really needing help deciding which way im going with my new pc. i dont need anything spectacual, and im not swimming in money, so please....some guidance for an uber n00b. thanks!

EDIT: just sitting here thinking, i thought maybe i should start with CPU instead. haha, see this is exactly why i need you smart folks help :)

since you have a complete lack of info of what you need,
I reccomend a tyan 4 proccesor mobo

Start by telling us what you will be using the new PC for (gaming, encoding, browsing etc) and then give a budget range. That way peeps will be able to more intellegently help you.

You might also look up Mechbgon's Guide to building a PC for noobs (or whatever its called). It an illustrated guide.

looking to do some light gaming and browsing. as for budget....maybe around $300 on a cpu and mobo.

umm you got to be more specific in your OP.. give us a usage and budget for the whole system and any parts you have or don?t want.... or you wont get any input
