n00b question regarding formating a partition

I imade two partitions and installed windows on one. The other is still raw at the moment and I was wondering what do i need to do for format this partition to run as NTFS.

Go to MyComputer - click on the drive letter. It will ask if you want to format it.

Save time and do a quick format.
