n00b question: Can I transfer stuff to and fro on 2 comps with 2 different o/s?

one has a netgear fa310tx running win 98 se
the other a netgear fa311 running winXP pro

any problems in getting the two to transfer stuff back and forth? id rather not have to burn it to CD. how do i go about doing this? i networked this whole area into a switch for cable modem stuff, but no idea on computer to computer 😱

if you run into problems, there is a known issue with connectivity between Win9x and Win2000 machines with regard to password hashing discrepencies. The solution is to have the 2000 machine map the 98 share, not the other way around. Don't know if this problem still exists in XP. If you can't get file sharing going, I'd recommend a cross-platform file transfer program such as FTP.
