Iposted this in software, but I'm afraid no one really goes there, so I'mgoign to post the question here - what is the default longin name for the ubuntu loin? I don't remember setting up a login name . . ..
 
it asks you. try your first name. all i can tell you is, it does not start with a capital letter
 
if you are using the live cd I think it is live_cd or soemthing.

Otherwise you specify it during the isntall.

That same password is the same for root as well..
