n-spec wireless hardware...

So all the specifics of the 'n'..spec, protocol, whatever you call it, have been finalized right? When can we expect some hardware to roll out. Do we know which, if any, of the pre-n stuff will be upgradable to the full spec?

edit: sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't know what to search for aside from the letter N. 😱

802.11n? 😛

I thought there were still issues with the spec... I probably misunderstood one of the silly things I skimmed though.

Given the battle between Task Group N and the WWSEG over the 802.11n spec, there is still a likelihood of changes to the spec before its finalization late this year or in 2007.

Of course! doh! 😱

Hell, if they're gonna be bickering over details for the next year I may as well go ahead and get something. I'm losing my nerve with the connection problems I'm having in my house...I really hope trying an all pre-n setup will help me with that.

I wish I had connection problems, then I'd have an excuse to setup OpenBSD's hostapd. 😛
