this is the webupdate, and it says: "requirement: original drivers from install CD"
i dont have a CD

I will look again later, but as said i am almost sure the card came without CD.

if you want i have the original cd for audigy2 platinum i might be able to iso it and send you it
the disk says, "Audigy2 ZS Installation and Applications CD" so it doesnt specify if it can only be used w/ platinum

This update is for all Audigy 2 and Audigy 2 ZS series audio cards, which include the Platinum, Platinum eX, Platinum Pro, Digital Audio and Gamer versions.

Requirements

* Microsoft® Windows XP SP1, Windows 2000 SP3, Windows Millennium Edition or Windows 98 Second Edition.
* Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 or Audigy 2 ZS series audio card (with or without previous drivers and updates installed).

No mention of existing drivers. And it is for ALL Audigy 2 and Audigy 2 ZS series audio cards (the "value' is not mentioned). Hope it helps.

edit: it's a 16MB d/l . . . should be it . . . HOWEVER, read the 3 user reviews of this driver which said it made it worse.

hi guys,

ok..the point is..according to people (and creative) the normal Audigy 2 and Audigy 2 ZS drivers dont work and cant be installed !

jterrell: I think i saw that yesterday..and, well, as it looks this might be the ONLY way for me to somehow get this card to work. Although idont know whether these will work with the value.

I still am looking for an ISO of the original Audigy 2 Value CDs...and yes, confirmed, i didnt get a CD with mine.
