If not, I'm also interested... I'd like to see when I can purchase decently priced DRM-free music online.

Oh, I remember seeing something about BMG talking about releasing their music without DRM protection for an extra cost over DRM protected music.

Not sure if thats what you read also?
 
electronic as in m-p-3 or electronic as in techo?

There were some rumblings about EMI "wanting" to ditch DRM, but that was fairly recent and nothings come of it.
