I started from the bottom and all were used until that one. So there is 0-2 keys left from this guy's post.

Mythos rocked big time! Big thanks to Thraxen who gave me a beta key years ago. That game was getting quite close to open beta and then release by Flagship Seattle, so it's weird to see this new studio finally get the game close to open beta 3 years later. A lot of it looks the same too.
 
Some advice for you guys, distribute the keys by PM so we can ensure that random people from stumbling upon this thread from Google do not grab them from your fellow members.

Yes and no. Feels quite shallow, even moreso than Torchlight did.

I like the skills system and the way you can level up crafting... but the latter is useless, being extremely difficult to find appropriate crafting mats and being way too easy to find a superior, non-crafted item.
 
Hmm thanks Elcs. I got an email about the open beta but I'm not sure this has anything new to make it worth my while.
 
Well I finally got to playing it. I got my friend to get it too since it's open beta now.

Pretty sweet. It's basically identical to when I played it in 2008 closed beta. Except the world is different completely. So all the areas/towns/quests are different.

My biggest problem is not knowing where to go. Like I have this thing to see some guy in "RockHill Haven" but it's not labeled anywhere.
 
so what's the difference between mythos and mythos europe?

mythos is being developed by redbana (and also mentions hanbitsoft) and is in closed beta. mythos europe is being developed by hanbitsoft and is in open beta. but according to the wiki page it's the same game?

edit: hmmm. i guess it's the same game. one publisher seems to be (far?) behind the other though, and there is talk in the mythos eu forums about north american players being IP blocked at some point.

Beta was fun. I am looking to buy it, but am not sure how. The amazon link that is on their website doesn't ship to the US. I looked on other sites like the 'thehut.com' and 'sendit.com' but these sites don't ship to the US either 🙁. If anyone is able to find a site that ships to the US I would greatly appreciate a link. Thanks
