I have been suspecting something is affecting my gaming performance for a while so I went about getting some testing done yesterday. There is a lag when I round corners in CS source and sometimes in Doom3. The benchmarks seem to come out ok... but the game doesnt feel "smooth". Feels like sudden frame rate drops.
In Sisandra 2004 I get very poor memory bandwidth results. I have a MSI Neo Plat. With the NF3 250GB, so I figured I should be getting around the refernce bench for the NF 150, but its like half.
Jump to problem 2. I opened my system to check if my memory was CL 2.5 or CL3. WITHOUT ACTUALLY TOUCHING ANYTHING in the system I read the side of the memory (its CL 3.0)
After closing the system I ran Sisandra again. During the test I started getting artifacts all over the screen. They will not go away on reboot. I have tried reinserted vid card, memory. problem persists.
Originally when I put the system together I was having the same problem but it turned out that the vid card was not inserted properly, then the problem was fixed.
Could the memory been burned? Something is loose?
Any advice what this could be???
