I posted this before, but here it is again.....

I just upgraded from my Epox 8rda+ to the MUCH better 8rda3+, and it turns out, the 3+ UNLOCKED THE MULTIPLIER ON MY 2500+ barton. It was previouisly the locked, later model. I love this board, as it corrected SO many problems with the 8rda+. First, it has active cooling on the northbridge. second, it lets you change the VDD (voltage to the NB), and as kind of a plus, (besides the SATA raid), it came with a handfull of mini blue heatsinks to go on the small voltage regulators on the board, the ones that get smoking hot. I saw a infrared picture of the board (8rda+) under load, and these were the hottest spot of all, even hotter than the HSF.
I was so stoked when I looked in the bios and the mult field was not grayed, but i was sceptical. I tried the mult at 12 from 11 (barton 2500+), and at 166 fsb. boots fine. Then I tried at 200 x 11.5, but I guess that was WAY to much for it. I can run 205-210 stable, but i am running stock cooling (for lack of funds) so I dont like to. It does run 200 fsb on stock cooling at 47/53 idle/load though, so thats what i do. I was wondering how it is the new board unlocked the proc, and if what the best FSB x MULT would be for this board/proc/cooling combo. I am looking for either a zxalman, or a used alpha though....

I have an older 8RDA3+ board and I really like it alot.
I haven't played around with all the voltages and multiplyers much, but on my 2500+ @ 3200+, all I initially did was change the fsb to 200 and it has been super stable.
I use an slk-900U and it works great with my nice slow 90mm fan :)

It really depends on your ram as well. Are you running faster ram such as DDR400 or higher?
I would gradually increase fsb til it doesn't boot to windows, and then increase voltage of the vdimm and try booting again. Or try increasing voltage a bit on the cpu to try going to a higher multiplyer, such as 11.5.

If your cpu is not a mobile, it might not go much higher than 2.3-2.35 on air, and especially on stock.

It's definitely a good board with alot of adjustment options, I just wish it had optical and coaxial audio such as the newer 8RDA6+, but it's too late for me to bother upgrading to a new Socket A board ;)
