Mysterious reboot

My computer runs great. Lately though it's been crashing/restarting in the middle of the night. I'll wake up & see that it's restarted - and firefox always asks if it should restore the previous session so that confirms my suspiciouns

I have no other problems with the machine...see my sig for the build. I leave it on 24/7/365 and AVG 8.5 is set to scan at 2AM. I wonder if AVG is causing these reboots? The scan logs don't indicate any problems though. There's nothing in the scan log to indicate that a scan has been aborted or crashed.

Suggestions appreciated

See if the Windows event log has anything. Right-click My Computer on the Start menu, choose Manage, and the Event Viewer is in the list on the left.

Or, fire off AVG's scan at some other time and see if it results in a crash.
