And very cool announcement. I still think were in the dark ages when it comes to physics. Its like were at pre electricity/radio waves days when it comes Quantum stuff. See how much they changed the world

Very interesting! I conjecture that since the sensors are airborne over the south pole, the particles travel along the earth's magnetic field and don't penetrate the earth.

Now is Ice Cube at the south pole?
If you were looking for a place to build a neutrino detector consisting of a cubic kilometre ice, here on this 3rd rock from the sun, what other place would you choose than the very South Pole? :-)
