Mysterious clicking sound...

For the last week or so, I've been hearing the explorer "click" sound (like clicking a link in IE/Opening a folder) at a fairly constant interval. I run Norton corporate nightly, and it hasn't picked up anything, nor has ad-aware. Google search has turned up nothing helpful. Has anyone encountered this before?
