Mysterious audio issue

I'm using a Dell Vostro with integrated 7.1 audio. Speaker setup is Klipsch 4.1 system. Green from the klipsch is plugged into the green on computer. Purple from klipsch is plugged into the black (rear) on the computer. When doing the audio test tones, sound will come out of each speaker. However, when playing anything on the computer, I get no audio from the rear speakers. Netflix, Spotify, mp3's, or anything else, I get no audio from the rear speakers. What am I missing?

In the enhancements tab of the properties for the playback device, see if speaker fill is available. That should mirror your front left and right to your rear left and right.

The option is there. It was not checked, so I checked it. Still no sound from the rear speakers, unless when doing test tones.

Have you tried to remove the drivers and reinstall them from scratch? That usually helps.

Ugh!!! Kind of like when I tell people to restart their computer and see if the issue still exists.

Re-installing the driver worked.

Thanks
