How freaking awesome was this game at first?

I was just sitting here, thinking about it, and remembering how excited I was when I was playing it on my Packard Bell for the first time. That was back when I was afraid of computers, terrified of crashes and nearly wet-my-pants nervous if something went wrong.

But seriously...seeing the video of the dudes in the books, the haunting music, the user friendly interface....it was so awesome.
Does anyone else feel so nostalgic about this game? Most people I talk to didn't like it, but for me it was quite the experience.

I bought it, played it for about 2 hours, hated it with a passion and returned it. I forget where I bought it that I was able to return it after opening/playing it...I was in middle school at the time.

I'm not a big fan of games like that.

Loved it at first, then began to hate it. I eventually got the cheats to get me through it. 😛

I hated the game - you must be on drugs to admit you liked it. 😉

I absolutely loved it. It hooked me right away, I played it for like a week straight till I finished. Afterwards, I played Riven and MYST III.
