MySQL Installation.

I have Apache 1.3.36 and PHP 4.4 setup, and I just installed MySQL 4.1 (community edition I believe) , executable setup.exe on Windows.

I was wondering how come whenever I do "mysql -u root -p" in the command prompt, it doesnt ask me for a pass but instead doesnt think MySQL exists? I think I checked the button for 'install as a service'.

Oh and, I can get it to work fine if I go into program files, mysql, command line client.
