I'm not attracted to girls under 18. I just don't see the big deal with a 20 year old and a 14 year old.

Think about it like this. Many of us have fathers who are around 7 years older than our mother.

So when our father was 20 our mothers would be have around 13 years old. See what is the big deal.
wow....

/sits back with a lawnchair and cracks open a boddingtons for this one

I said it wrong. I didn't mean we all have fathers who are 7 year older than our mothers. I am saying many people have fathers who are 7+ years older than their mothers.

I take it you're still a teenager?

I am 22.

Again I am talking about if the men are in their low 20s.

I agree a 40 year old man and a 16 year old girl is wrong. The man needs to go to jail for that.

But a 24 year old and a 16 year old, what the big deal.

Chester the Molester!

I hate you with every fiber of my being. Every single post in the past few weeks that I've cared to read of yours has been absolutely moronic to say the least. You argue your ideals that are so out there that you appear as a complete nutcase. Stick to your principles buddy cause your life is obviously sh!t. take pills and die, buddy.

yeah. but more than likely they meet after the age of consent. it sounds like you think its okay for a guy to finish a day of classes at college and then sweep by the local high school to spit some game on some freshman cheerleaders.

You people make it seem like I condone pedophilia. Well I don't. I just don't think a 20 year old who has sex with a 14 year old is a pedophile.

I wouldn't do it, but I don't think it should be looked down apon.

And I wouldn't be surprised if she was told who her husband was going to be rather than choose him; times change.

EDIT: did i just read that the girls didnt do anything to stop it?

Horny teen girls who wanted to get with someone a little older. It happens all the time. My guess is that one of the girl's parents found out, told other parents, and that is how it got out. The girls probably wanted to keep it going.

Exactly. These girls are likely only "victims" of "sex assaults" in the eyes of the law.

I agree, these girls are not real victims.
they are minors. which makes them victims.

It wasn't THAT long ago. My point is that only recently has this become taboo.

Oh I'm not disputing either of those things, which are good points. Just that being with a 14 year old doesn't necessarily make someone a pedophile pervert.

You also made it seem like you think a ~25 year old with a 12 year old is "iffy"

Can we all agree that the 18 year old thing is arbitrary as hell? Yes it's illegal, and if you do it, you have to know that there could be consequences. But as far as being morally wrong, there is legitimate room for discussion.

Girls did used to get married a lot younger. What exactly has changed to make it a perversion now? If anything, girls are reaching puberty earlier than they used to. I know in high school, most of the 14-18 year old girls were having sex and mostly with guys far older than them. Or that's what i tell myself to explain why i couldn't get any.

Anyway, i'm not a big fan of prosecuting a guy when a girl knows she wants sex, seeks it out and travels to get it, and doesn't complain about it afterward.

A 17 year old guy and a 12 year old girl being a couple and having sex is all fine to the law and most of you, but once that 17 year old guy turns 18 most of you would now label him a pedophile. Even though at 17 there was nothing illegal about him having sex with a 12 year old.

Indeed. In the eyes of the law, as I said.

PATENTLY INCORRECT. Every state that I know of deems a floating age difference which actually governs the under-18 consent ages.

Example: here in MA, 16yo is the age of consent. This is to prevent legitimate relationships between an 18yo and 16yo from being illegal. But the TRUE nature of the law is a 2yr difference between the members. Therefore, it is illegal for anyone over 17 to be with a 15yo, 16 to be with a 14yo, etc. Thus your 17-12 example is 100% NOT "all fine to the law".
