There is an actual full-on military coup ongoing since early this morning in Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). The military has imprisoned the vast majority of the recently elected party, including the party leader, Aung San Suu Kyi

Not likely. Myanmar's military never gave up control in the first place but rather established a veneer of democracy. When their favored politicians did poorly in the election they reverted to "we have the guns".
