I am installing it for an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300. I have the 2 mounting brackets installed on the mobo. For this CPU I believe I have to use the mounting bar with only 2 screw holes. Whenever I go to screw the mounting bar on, the other side that I havent screwed in yet will not be able to reach the hole. I did try doing this in a pattern where you screw a tiny bit on each end back and forth, but it still will not work.
Do any of you have this cooler? It seems like it's a great cooler, but I cannot mount this thing.

Any suggestions?

THANKS!

It mounted easily on my s939 Athlon 64. I did notice that there are two brackets that come with it and one is longer than the other by a little bit. Might want to check that.

I managed to mount it. I just had to apply much more force than I thought I would have to. This is the first HSF I have had to install that wasn't a stock HSF where it's usually just a clip, and not actual screws.

However, after screwing it as tight as it will go, it will not move upwards, downwars, or sideways, but it can still twist a little bit. Is this wrong? Does the thermal paste harden or bond to the HSF to make it more stable eventually?

THANKS!

I know nothing about this cooler but most coolers twisted some. I don't think thats a big deal as long as its getting good contact with the CPU.

I just installed this same cooler on my e6400 just minutes ago and yes, mine will twist a bit as well. I don't think it's a big deal. It's cooling very well as it is.

Ditto. Very un-nerving though isn't it? A very HEAVY HSF held in place by two 1/2 inch screws into plastic
