It's been unusually hot in the past week or so, it's insane. I have never seen the snow melt this fast, and without causing major water issues! It's literally just evaporating. There's hardly any mess left behind. Right now it's +26! That's middle of July weather!

Unfortunately this will be short lived, as they're announcing snow next week so we're going back to normal seasonal weather. But damn, I have never seen this in march. It's nice while it's lasting.

We've had rain for several days. Seems like everything has turned green overnight. I love spring.

The trees in my area are budding, which is about a month early. They started budding a few weeks ago before the snowstorm, but then the buds seemed to die. I can't imagine it is good for trees to keep getting faked out by the warm weather coming and going like this.

yeah lot of the grass is actually already green. I'm tempted to go rake, but I don't know how good it would be for the lawn, I probably should not encourage it to grow only for it to be covered in snow in a month or two when things go back to normal. Or maybe we'll get lucky and it will stay like this right through.

It's +24 in my office right now, I have the furnace blower running to circulate the air, almost time to take out the AC, but it just seems wrong to take it out in heating season lol.

I fear what's possibly in store for later. Lots of trees are budding early; a cold snap can kill the buds and destroy this year's crop of apples, cherries, etc.

That's what I wonder too. This type of weather can really screw around with nature. Imagine the animals coming out of hibernation thinking it's June or July. :biggrin:

I remember one year where winter hit so fast that the leaves on the trees never actually started falling off. We went all winter with leafy trees, it was really strange, and we wondered what it would do to the trees. They survived fine though.
