my xp333r... did i kill it?

spanky

Lifer
i'm in a bit of a jam. i was slapping together a pc with the following parts:

iwill xp333r v2.1
amd xp1600+
crucial 512mb pc2700
ati 32mb radeon ddr
blah blah blah

i think that's pretty much all the important stuff, but if i missed anything, lemme know and i will gladly correct it. now.. here is what happened. last nite i threw everything together and installed win98. did the driver installs and OS updates. this morning, i started doing the application installs and everything was going along pretty good.

after setting up my win98 partition, i was about to start on my win xp partition. i reboot the pc, and just out of curiousity, i went into the bios and started to mess around with fsb. during my previous days operation, i was operating at 133. so just for kicks, i pushed it up to 135... rebooted... posted... 140.... rebooted... posted... 145.... rebooted.... black screen. there were no error beeps, just a black screen. i tried to clear the cmos, but the results are the same. i pulled out the battery too, but no luck. maybe perhaps i am doing the clear cmos prcodeure wrong. could someone briefly explain to me the clear cmos procedure? or is my mobo (or another part... cpu?) toast?
