Just got my *new XP 1700 today. I am going to install this evening on the rig in sig (replacing my MP 2100) and see what I can get it to do. I will be keeping a log of the results for review.

Markings:
AXDA 1700DUT3C
JIUHB 0302MPM

MoBo:
ePoX 8k5a2+

HS/F:
SLK-800 & 80mm Sunon 32cfm

Thermal Paste:
Antec Premium

Stock Mhz: 1470
Mhz goal: 2500 @ 200*12.5 / 1.85V
O/C Mhz: 1030

My first try will be for 2000 mhz @ 160*12.5 using stock voltage...stay tuned!

(*This was purchased from another member of Anandtech who posted some pretty great results with it. PLUS he sold it to me in great condition and it looked like new when I got it...thanks Shimmi!! ;) )

OK, Up and running at 2100+ Mhz (XP2600+ speeds) @ stock voltage (1.65v)

Here's the spec's:
FSB=175
Multi=12.5
PCI/AGP = 70/36

Temps= 39c (after running 3dMark2001se)

Going to let this percolate for a day or so and then creep up the multiplier.

Hmmm good luck -- maybe you should get some watercooling because that's a pretty tough goal so I have heard. :)

2.5ghz is not too realistic bud
you have a dut3c, not a dlt3c

and even for a dlt3c, you will have to be lucky to get a chip that high

OK, did some more work last night...

12.5 * 180 FSB for 2.25Ghz (No added volts)
3dmark2001se=Pass (loop for 3 hours)
Prime 95=Pass (Loop for 2 hours)
CPU Temp=40c Idle / 43c Full Load

Brought it back down to 12.5 * 170FSB for normal use though...

So it seems that it can handle 180 without too much problem. HOWEVER, it seems that I may be stuck as I cannot lock my PCI/AGP settings and at 180FSB they are getting quite high. I was hoping to push this up to 12.5 * 200 FSB for 2.5Ghz, but it appears doubtful with the current MoBo.

Not that an O/C of 780Mhz is anything to sneeze at.
